North Captiva has only two very small convenience type stores on the Island used only for essentials so you’ll need to get your food and major supplies prior to your arrival. There are a few options for Ordering Groceries, Spirits & Supplies for your vacation.
- Pick up your order on your way to the ferry, or
- Fresh Pick Grocery Service-Debbie Winstead (239)822-7078 We provide grocery, fresh seafood, & liquor deliveries to North Captiva Island Club and Island Girl ferry services in addition to private charters or Boats & Fun for guests vacationing on North Captiva Island (including the south end only accessible by boat).
- Good Grocery Antoine Good (239)207-6048. He will walk you thru what you need to do and offers shopping at Publix, Costco, Winn Dixie, Aldi, etc. You pay the In-store price every time, and delivered with the store receipt! He also doesn’t add the extra fee for Alcohol(Big money saver).
- Elite Grocery Service Bryan Moistner (239)634-0513. We are a retired military mom and pop service that personally shop every order and stocks every order. We text you during the shopping to make sure we get what you want.
- Tibball’s Grocery Delivery and Island Services Sandie (239)340-5398. With this service, we will shop deliver and put away all your groceries in your home before you arrive. This service is available at a 30%, no charge for bins.
- Winn Dixie will also deliver to island for orders more than $100 and you would have to arrange to pick up the groceries from Island Club North Captiva. The Island Club may charge you for the grocery delivery.
- Or you can order thru Instacart (They charge more then store prices) by following the directions below.

Instacart occasionally changes your store selection during the ordering process, so make sure you have the correct store.
- To order via Instacart go to Publix Online Order
- If you don’t have one you’ll need to create an account
- They offer three order options, select “Curbside pickup” area
- “Date” is your arrival day and have the order ready 2 hours before you will be arriving at the store or prior to your ferry reservation.
- Make sure to ADD instructions to “Please boat pack all items”.
- If you are picking up yourself then you will need a cooler for your perishables. It takes a few hours from grocery pickup to arriving at the house and you don’t want anything to spoil. If you will be using a pick-up or delivery service then styrofoam coolers and dry ice are provided for an additional fee.
- You are headed to your vacation. You deserve to be pampered. Why shop for groceries when you can have it done for you and have everything professionally packed and waiting for you at your water taxi. Most grocer’s can gather all groceries, beverages and special needs items.
Some grocer’s will also take your BEER, WINE, & SPIRITS order.
ARTISINAL, SEAFOOD, and LOCAL PRODUCE: The Private Grocer’s can also pick-up fresh produce, seafood, and farmer’s markets in the area. If you have any specific requests please ask and he can make several recommendations.

You can order amazing stone crab, in season fresh fish and shrimp from Island Seafood market on Matlacha. Call them to see what’s fresh and work our delivery to the NCIC or island girl ferries. They will also steam shrimp for you. They only have amazing, fresh and sustainable locally caught seafood. The quality is great and the prices are very good. The owner is named Katie Fischer. She is great!

The Upper Captiva Civic Association has put together an island cookbook, “Island Eats“, with over 200 recipes to enjoy while on the island or at home. The book is full of “go-to” island friendly recipes submitted by fellow islanders, including main dishes, snacks, appetizers, drinks, and more!
By purchasing this cookbook you’ll help UCCA raise funds for island initiatives to keep North Captiva beautiful and functional. Cookbooks can be picked up on the island or shipped. These will make great gifts for your friends and family while supporting North Captiva Island.
